Irene Azuela is a Mexican actress who was born on October 19, 1974 in Mexico City, Mexico. She grew up in a family of actors and studied acting at the National School of Fine Arts in Mexico City. Azuela started her acting career in theater and later on moved to films and television.
She made her acting debut in 1999 with the film "Tres pájaros" and has since appeared in numerous Mexican films such as "Ladrón que roba a ladrón", "Quemar las naves", and "La calle de la amargura". She is also known for her work in Mexican television series such as "Capadocia", "Las Aparicio", and "La Doble Vida de Estela Carrillo".
Azuela has received several accolades for her performance in films and television including the Best Actress Award at the Morelia International Film Festival for her role in "Quemar las naves". She is also a member of the Mexican Academy of Film.
In addition to her acting career, Azuela is also involved in social and political activism and has worked with several non-profit organizations in Mexico.
